Board of Trustees

Dr. Mario Farquharson is an international judge, law professor, human rights advocate, philanthropist, and judiciary official who has devoted his career to advancing humanitarian missions through historically significant institutions. He holds an LL.B in Law, an M.S. in Education, and a Ph.D. in International Law. Dr. Farquharson serves as Chief Inspector General, Investigating Instruction Judge, Adjudicating Presiding Judge, and Enforcement Compliance Judge for a UN IGO Court of International Justice.

Lorna has extensive experience working directly with African Caribbean communities across England on issues of social justice and human rights. She has a background in youth work which informs her engagement with community development and regeneration. She is experienced in consulting and delivering training for cultural institutions on Autism Awareness and special educational needs to enhance understanding and accessibility.

Ms. Thirza Amina Asanga-Rae is a Nigerian-born British national who holds a BA (Hons) in Business and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Labour and Trade Union Studies. Her career began in railway services, rising through the ranks at GNER, Virgin Trains, and TransPennine Express. Her engagement with trade unions sparked a passion for activism, leading to representation roles with TSSA, UNITE, and as former Chair of the Greater Manchester Tenants Union.

Daniel Kofi Davidson, born in the UK to Jamaican parents, moved to Manchester in 1997 from London to establish his own identity. He volunteered at the Powerhouse before taking on a leadership role in the Young People's Empowerment Group. He transitioned to a successful career as a resettlement officer, re-housing hundreds of young people between 2006 and 2019.

Finance Department

Tanya holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Finance and brings over 20 years of practice and industry experience as a Financial Officer. She manages the MSHCDT's primary and secondary bookkeeping functions, including staff payroll, reconciliations, and both sales and purchase ledgers. Since joining the Trust in 2023, Tanya's contributions have been invaluable. She is married with four children.
Reception/Admin Staff

Ms. Leanna Cameron holds a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Event Management. She joined the Moss Side and Hulme Community Development Trust in 2024 as the Reception/Admin. With many years of experience as an event coordinator, Leanna is also an active member of the community. She has successfully planned high-profile awards ceremonies, corporate events, and charity functions.

Maintenance Staff

Gregory Elliott is a highly skilled manual labourer with years of experience in the construction industry. He joined the Moss Side and Hulme Community Development Trust as the Assistant Site Superintendent in 2025. A conscientious, hardworking, and reliable individual, Gregory possesses a pleasant and outgoing personality. He has the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Andrew Wade is a confident and experienced social care professional with over two decades of dedicated service supporting children, young people, and families. With a strong background in residential care, community outreach, and educational safeguarding, Andrew has led high-performing teams and delivered impactful interventions across a range of services. Having held senior roles within Trafford Council and alternative education providers, Andrew has consistently demonstrated his ability to build trust with children, families, and professionals. He joined our maintenance team in May 2025.
